Introduction

I have been doing book reviews for some time now. I am a "ghost" writer. In exchange I get the books/curriculum I review at no cost. Sometimes I can choose which ones I review, sometimes they provide me the materials they need to have reviewed for publication. Of course, I would prefer to see what they need to have reviewed and make my selections according to my preferences.

I thought it would be worthwhile to keep them all in one place. Once I submit them to the reviewer I have them in the e-mail I send, but I haven't kept them anywhere else. I thought it would be interesting to look back and see the reviews I have submitted. I will try to go back through old e-mails and post them as I find them. I don't know when I'll have time in the immediate future, but this way this log is already set up to accept them.

I don't like the format and guidelines I need to follow for some of the reviews I do because it doesn't sound like "me", but I'm willing to compromise to save on school books and reading books.

Early and late fall is when I get most things that need to be reviewed - they are usually published during the winter and spring (in time for the spring conventions). I hope I'll have the time to accept these reviews this year. I know I really overdid it last year and it was very stressful meeting the deadlines because I had so many to do.

Since this is my own page, I think that I will also review other books I am reading. This way I can look back and remind myself of what I have read. Since there are many books I have read several times this will also remind me of which ones I want to read again. Maybe at some point I can do a review of every book I am reading (or is that just wishful thinking?!). That would certainly make a great future record. The problem is that I generally read 5 - 6 books at a time and I read so many books that it would take up too much time to write about all of them - I'd rather be reading! Maybe I could just do a review of some of my top picks.
